And a KOALA too

It’s been my year for kids’ choice awards. Dragonkeeper has won the NSW KOALA award for older readers. It’s the first children’s choice award Dragonkeeper has won, so that’s very exciting and thanks to all those readers who voted for it.

I went to Sydney to attend the ceremony which was held at the Taronga Zoo. I got to meet lots of school kids and have a lovely lunch with the KOALA committee and the other authors and illustrators who attended. Click here to see the other winning and shortlisted books.

  1. Congratulations Carole on the award, a wonderful book – you deserve it! I hope to see more of your work shortlisted in KOALA 2007.

You have a beautiful website, the dragonkeeper seal is very clever.

  2. Alexander,
    Thanks for that.
The seal is the imprint of a real carved granite seal. It was made to use on the cover of Dragonkeeper.
