I have one more public event before I finish a busy couple of months promoting Sugar Sugar. If anyone in Melbourne wants to come along and hear me talk, get me to sign a book or have a chat. This is where I will be:
11.30 am Saturday 29th May
Ringwood Angus & Robinson
Shop L026a Eastland Shopping Centre
171 – 175 Maroondah Highway
Ringwood
Here are some pictures of my time in Sydney where I was guest of honour at High Tea at the Children’s Bookshop, and where I visited the Mythic Creatures Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. Also photos from the Centre for Youth Literature’s Booktalkers event here in Melbourne today, where I spoke to school groups along with other authors Craig Schufton, Kirsty Murray and David Levithan.
Dear Carole,
Will you becoming to Brisbane? If you are I would love to come and have a chat and get you to sign a book as I think your books are creative and different. As not many people write about in Ancient China about dragons. I have almost finished the second/third dragon keeper book (Garden of the Purple Dragon) of the series. At the start I like how you put a red phoenix in.
You really inspire me by your writing and I have always wanted to be a writer. I write books all the time but never finish them as I sometimes don’t like how they are coming so far so I leave them. You really inspire me, thank you for writing and giving us all those fabulous books you’ve written.
Maddie
Maddie,
I did go to Brisbane. I was there in April promoting my new novel. I always say on my blog if I am making any appearances anywhere. I have not plans to go to Brisbane again at the moment.
I’m glad you are enjoying reading the Dragonkeeper triology, and that you found it inspiring.
I always have a plan for my books before I start, not really detailed, just the beginning, middle and end. Perhaps it would help you to get your stories finished if you had an idea where you were going.
Good luck with the writing.
